LINPAC Allibert acquires a 40% share in ACQSYS Supply Chain Systems

Today, 20th August 2007, LINPAC Allibert completed the acquisition of a 40% share of ACQSYS S.C.S a UK and European supply chain service provider.

ACQSYS and LINPAC Allibert are ideal partners as they have a complementary set of services including supply chain asset management and RFID technology. ACQSYS currently operates in different markets to LINPAC Allibert and therefore this acquisition will provide further opportunities for both businesses to enter into new sectors.

LINPAC Allibert provides asset management and asset tracking services via its Logtek and Intellident businesses. LINPAC Allibert works with numerous customers throughout Europe operating in the retail, automotive and chemical industries.

Target markets for ACQSYS are the ice cream, bottled drinks, soft drinks and brewery industries. Customers operating in these markets often have large amounts of capital tied up in supply chain or trade assets as well as issues with supply chain efficiencies. ACQSYS’ primary service is to acquire a customer’s moveable supply chain assets and provide efficiency-based services.  Through the use of technology, combined with financial and management consulting, ACQSYS can release the capital tied up in the supply chain and significantly improve operations, productivity, traceability and the quality of the manufacturer’s product. By ensuring that supply chain assets are used more productively, ACQSYS can also help to reduce their customers’ overall capital spend.

Alan Doyle, CEO, ACQSYS says, “The partnership with LINPAC is a key strategic step for ACQSYS as it will accelerate our market efforts in the UK and mainland Europe. We are already working on several key projects which will enable us to immediately add to the breadth of services we offer through enhanced infrastructure and a wider reach and presence in the marketplace”.

Mike Arrowsmith, CEO, LINPAC Group says, “ACQSYS is a fast growing and successful business and this joint venture will allow LINPAC to benefit from the experience and expertise of markets in which we do not currently operate. We intend to bring together the best of both businesses to enable us to provide a better and broader level of supply chain services to current and new customers”.
