LINPAC Packaging looks East

LINPAC Packaging is assessing the future needs of the food packaging market in Central and Eastern Europe in a move which could potentially lead to the creation of a new manufacturing site.

The company, which already has factory in Poland, is currently investigating the feasibility of commissioning a new site in Belarus to serve Central and Eastern Europe.

This forward-looking project is intended to capitalise on the growing food packaging market in Central and Eastern Europe.

President and Managing Director of LINPAC Packaging, Ralf K Wunderlich, said: “Belarus is well located for serving emerging markets in Central and Eastern Europe. We are currently considering building an additional manufacturing site in Belarus and have initiated preliminary discussions with the authorities there.

“Depending on the outcome of these discussions, and further market research, we will make a decision about whether to proceed with this facility.

“LINPAC is a forward-thinking company, keen to be at the forefront of emerging food packaging markets. We currently run a global operation across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa, and are always on the look-out for new opportunities for growth.”

Knottingley-based LINPAC Packaging currently operates from 25 sites across 19 different countries, and employs over 4000 people. The company specialises in developing customer-focused packaging solutions for food packers, retailers and consumers.
