LINPAC Recycling goes gold for charity
LINPAC Recycling, based at Allerton Bywater, United Kingdom, has donated more than £2,750 to local charities – thanks to an internal Health, Safety, Hygiene and Environment gold award.
The UK’s leading plastics recycling company has supported local organisations from nearby schools to community groups – all chosen by the workforce following an internal HSHE Gold accreditation – which rewards sites with funds to support local charities. The accolade recognises best practice in the field of Health, Safety, Hygiene and Environment, and encourages higher standards of safety throughout the business.
Colin Ellis, Operations Manager, said: “Everyone from within our business works hard to maintain our high HSHE standards, we aim to recognise this and reward our teams with funds to support local causes – that way our colleagues can donate funds to activities and events that support our local community.”
“Health, Safety, Hygiene and the Environment is crucial to our business. This accolade demonstrates our commitment to this area and achieving gold status reflects our determination to build upon our success year-on-year.”
To comply with the terms of the HSHE programme, which is embedded within LINPAC’s culture, each site is audited on an annual basis and ad hoc spot audits are conducted. Where appropriate, and as a result of the audit, recommended actions are given.
LINPAC Recycling was formed in 1991 and has grown to become the UK’s largest recycler of rigid plastics. The company uses unique technological expertise to provide a service that meets customer’s needs and considers both financial and environmental implications.
