Europe’s leading multi-material packaging manufacturer, LINPAC Packaging, has added to its range of sustainable trays for meat and fish products with the launch of Rfresh® MB (pictured above).
The new rPET trays contain up to 95% food grade post-consumer recyclate – giving customers a wider choice of environmentally sound packaging options that do not compromise on tray performance.
The food packaging company has created a tray that offers excellent barrier performance, and is ideally suited to poultry and fish products – helping retailers reduce food spoilage and waste by keeping food fresher for longer. A PP base film layer provides for stronger seal integrity and the tray can have either a lock seal or peelable film.
The packaged foodstuffs are well protected due to the tray’s rigidity, ensuring that the product reaches the consumer in the best possible condition.

The Rfresh MB trays are a new addition to LINPAC Packaging’s family of Rfresh tray products and complement the premium Rfresh HB and standard Rfresh PP trays. All three are available in a choice of colours and tints, and have been specifically designed to make the packing process more efficient.
Rfresh HB trays are also made from 95% recycled PET (rPET) and offer the maximum shelf-life for red meat and fish. The trays are available in a shallow format for shingling on shelf. The Rfresh PP trays contain a minimum amount of recycled content and offer a relatively low shelf-life compared with others in the range, but they are suitable for use in the microwave or freezer.
