Boca Raton, FL (TBD) --- Multi-Media Productions (USA), Inc. is pleased to announce that Ropak Packaging’s new Diamond Weave Technology™ will be featured on 21st Century Business – to be aired in the US on Fox Business Network on October 30, 2010 (1:30pm PT/4:30pm ET).  The program is also expected to broadcast on CNBC on November 4 (11:30pm PT) and November 5 (12:30am MT). The airing in Canada occurs simultaneously on the above networks on DirecTV and Dish Network.

Ropak Packaging is the largest North American manufacturer of rigid plastic shipping containers. As demonstrated by its ownership of over 20 utility and design patents, Ropak has proven its design and engineering strengths through many key industry firsts. These include the EZ Stor® line of containers – rectangular containers with hinged lids that stay on during use; and the EZ Cover – the first secure container cover that can be easily removed and resealed without the use of a tool.

Ropak now continues its market leadership and dominance of innovation with the launch of the latest patent-pending and award-winning Diamond Weave Technology™ line of containers. As the name implies, Diamond Weave Technology uses a diamond-shaped lattice pattern on the internal surface of the plastic container to add structural strength to the container’s wall.  This allows for significant reduction in source material, while retaining the same stack strength, functionality and billboard area as a regular plastic container. The innovative new containers also offer significantly improved Walmart Scorecard results.

This new approach to packaging design and construction means that rigid plastic containers used in industries as diverse as retail, food service and construction can now be more environmentally friendly. Apart from their lighter weight, which means lower fuel use during transport, the containers also contain substantially less source material, so less fossil fuel is required in the manufacturing process – together resulting in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, a major contributor to global warming.

Ropak offers Diamond Weave containers in a variety of shapes – round, square and rectangular – as well as a range of sizes from 0.6-gallons to 5.3-gallons. Millions of containers have already been successfully commercialized in a variety of markets in both food and non-food applications. JL Haber, Vice President of Programming at Multi Media Productions, added: “As industry leaders and innovators, Ropak Corp was a natural to appear on our show.”
