Spain and Portugal are major European countries occupying the Iberian Peninsula in south western Europe. Both are members of the European Union, and Spain is ranked the eighth largest economy in the world.
LINPAC has over 30 years’ experience of operations in Iberia. LINPAC Packaging is the regional market leader in the protein and bakery packaging sectors, while its Infia business unit is the largest manufacturer of packaging for the fruit and produce sector. Similarly, LINPAC Allibert is one of the top two manufacturers of returnable transit packaging (RTP) equipment in the region.
Together the LINPAC Packaging and LINPAC Allibert divisions occupy over 60,000 sq metres of manufacturing plant at locations in Valencia, Pravia (Oviedo), Palau (Barcelona) and Santa Perpetua (Barcelona), supported by commercial offices at Madrid in Spain and Porto in Portugal, plus a region-wide network of depots.
In 2008, LINPAC Packaging strengthened its presence in the Portuguese market with the acquisition of Ovar-based Ovarpack Embalagens SA, a company selling and distributing packaging products to the food industry and retailers – including trays, rigid containers and paper packs.
Principal products manufactured by LINPAC Packaging in Spain are EPS, PET and PP trays (both barrier and/or absorbent), bakery containers, bread paper bags, fruit containers, PVC and barrier films, and related products. LINPAC Allibert concentrates on the manufacture of injection-moulded boxes and containers for RTP, along with rotationally moulded tanks and related products. It also offers a range of support services for RTP.
Industry sectors covered include food production and retailing (protein, bakery, fruit and produce, etc.), food service, automotive, other retail, general industry, chemicals, etc.
LINPAC provides a unique range of innovative packaging solutions across Spain and Portugal that offer high levels of protection and great brand image.
