Cooperl
The French meat producing and processing cooperative, Cooperl, required a robust, hygienic and reusable container for meat shipments that was also capable of withstanding cold-store conditions. LINPAC Allibert designed and manufactured a nesting container and fitted it with RFID tags so that individual units could be tracked automatically throughout the supply chain.
Carrefour
Assembly of bulk shippers was not only time-consuming for major retailer Carrefour, but also created cardboard waste and took up valuable back-of-store space. LINPAC Allibert designed
and manufactured a folding shipping unit that enables a one-touch supply chain – from field to fixture. Empty units fold down for efficient return and reuse.
Tesco
UK-based retailer, Tesco, needed to create efficiencies in the transport and presentation of product from its UK bakery suppliers. LINPAC Allibert devised a standard tray that stacks and travels on a dolly, enabling bread and other bakery products to be re-merchandised quickly. The Omega tray went on to become an iconic
product and LINPAC now supplies 95% of all returnable transit packaging (RTP) used in bakery in the UK.
Lampcare
LINPAC Allibert’s folding large containers (FLCs) have revolutionised the storage and transport of bulk loads in many industries. Lampcare, part of the Electrical Waste Recycling Group in the UK, found the division’s FLCs to be ideal for the storage and transport of waste
fluorescent tubes and lamps. The large, weather-resistant containers are robust and easy to handle, and can be stacked up to five high without compressing their contents.
ArvinMeritor
Changing to the LINPAC ‘seatbelt’ pallet and lid system has saved global automotive supplier, ArvinMeritor, 2.5 man-hours of labour a day – the amount of time previously spent removing shrinkwrap from incoming pallets. Now accessing a pallet is simply a matter of unclipping its belt’s catch – something that can be done in seconds. Pallet capacity has also increased considerably.
Asda
UK-based retailer Asda has achieved major cost savings over the last 50 metres of the supply chain for
pre-packed potatoes by using LINPAC Allibert’s Maxipac system – enabling bulk produce to travel from supplier to sales floor without intermediate handling. During peak periods Asda can now move stock from warehouse to store in just five minutes – a process that previously took up to an hour.
B&Q
A customised version of LINPAC Allibert’s durable and lightweight Boxerpac re-usable sleeve and lid packaging system is helping B&Q logistics provider PJH to cut product damage by up to 25%. The system is deployed within the ‘White Glove’ premier service operated by PJH for B&Q. Bathroom suites and fittings are housed in the containers,
which are transported to households – increasing product protection and eliminating packaging waste at the delivery point.
Carphone Warehouse
Switching from one-trip packaging to secure plastic attached-lid containers has enabled Carphone Warehouse, Europe’s largest independent retailer of mobile communications equipment, to achieve a 100% security record on store deliveries. LINPAC Allibert provided secure and lockable containers that could be traced at every stage of their journey.
Ford
Among the many new products delivered by LINPAC Allibert to the Ford Motor Company in Europe are a range of extended plastic containers with vacuum-formed insert trays dunnage), created as a bespoke packaging solution for line-side delivery of Ford Fiesta components in Cologne and Valencia. Up to three containers (collectively representing one to two hours stock) are now presented at the assembly line,
replacing the traditional bulk shipments that carried many hours stock and took up valuable lineside space.
LINPAC Allibert’s innovative E-frame Dolly System (EFDS) – also developed in conjunction with Ford – has enabled the automotive manufacturer’s Cologne facility to become the first plant to operate entirely without fork-lift trucks in the production area – increasing workforce safety. The system allows two wheeled dollies filled with components to be held within each E-frame, which is moved by tow truck between lineside locations.
