Infia Joins LINPAC Plastics
We are pleased to announce the acquisition by LINPAC Plastics Division of Infia, a privately owned business which employs over 300 people at its manufacturing sites near Bologna in Northern Italy and in Valencia, Spain. The acquisition was completed on 1st January 2004.
Infia is a leading European supplier to the fruit and produce markets, their principal products being punnets for soft fruits, trays for fruits and produce, and collation trays for peaches and nectarines.
The company has an established competence in the use of two principal raw materials:- polypropylene and APET. The marriage will, therefore, bring clear synergies with LINPAC Plastics’ European operations, allowing the partnership to offer a leading capability in a wider range of products to our customers.
Similarly Infia, whose principal geographical strength, is in the Mediterranean arena will benefit from LINPAC’s broader international coverage to facilitate its expansion, and from our expertise in the meat market.
