LINPAC Allibert – a newly formed LINPAC Group division
The LINPAC Group, world leader in packaging and materials handling solutions, has broadened its reach across Europe after buying French plastics company Allibert Buckhorn, and, after a period of integration, is now presenting one face to the customer having rebranded to become LINPAC Allibert, headquartered in Nanterre, France. The move adds a host of new products and markets to its worldwide operations.
LINPAC Allibert brings together two innovative industry leaders in one brand, making the company market leader in the UK and France and number two in Europe. The acquisition has also increased the presence of materials handling products and services in the LINPAC Group portfolio. LINPAC Allibert now makes 25% of total sales across the Group.
The merger of the two European organisations has increased the manufacturing footprint across Europe giving LINPAC Allibert the scale and level of expertise to produce a wider range of Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) products and associated supply chain services as well as offer a better service to customers on a local level and act as a business partner for customers with international presence.
Customers of LINPAC Allibert have access to Europe’s largest range of products and services for returnable packaging and equipment for retail and industrial end user sectors. They are able to offer a reduction in total supply chain costs, and enhancesales through “one-touch” replenishment, “shelf ready” packaging and mobile handling solutions, and improve packaging efficiency through bespoke dunnage and RFID enabled technology. The range of products and services also help customers to meet their environmental targets by reducing the amount of single use packaging and maximizing supply chain efficiencies.
LINPAC Allibert’s unique RFID solutions, through its Intellident business, allow its customers to effectively manage traceability and control assets through the supply chain. By bringing together the best of both businesses, LINPAC Allibert can offer innovative products developed in close partnership with various industries such as fishing, meat processing, cheese production, catering, chemical industries, and medical.
LINPAC Allibert’s core strength is innovation and new ways of thinking to help its customers reduce capital spend and working capital through flexible financing plans, and can offer specialist advice and support via its dedicated, experienced sales team and customer services.
Laurence Tanty, Managing Director of the LINPAC Allibert division said: “The merger has allowed us to create a dynamic business that has the ability to deliver innovative, quality products and services to our customers. We are also working much more closely with the other LINPAC Group divisions to ensure that we are maximising the opportunities in the marketplace and are able to offer customers an end to end packaging and supply chain service from primary food packaging through LINPAC Plastics, to RTP design, RFID tagging and asset management. Our business allows our customers to have total confidence in availability and supply from an established international industrial operation with vast distribution networks.”
LINPAC Group’s Chief Executive, Mike Arrowsmith says: “This newly created division is of paramount importance to the growth and success of the LINPAC Group. We hold a strong leadership position in the UK and western continental European retail markets and our focus is to now build on that position and broaden our reach across Eastern Europe and South America through new services and product innovations and a thorough understanding of the markets in which our customers operate.”
