LINPAC sells its U.S. Materials Handling Business to Orbis Corporation
The proposed divestiture is anticipated to be completed before year end.
LMH NA operates from two plants in Kentucky and is a producer of returnable packaging products primarily for the automotive sector. It also has a small sales, testing and engineering capability in China.
LINPAC Group's Chief Executive, Mike Arrowsmith said "Following the announcement in October of LMH's merger with Allibert in Europe, this sale substantially completes the restructuring of our materials handling business, allowing us to focus our resources on creating a dynamic business in Europe and the Far East that will have the ability to deliver innovative, quality products and services to our customers. I would like to express my appreciation and thanks to all our colleagues in LMH NA for their hard work and commitment and wish them well in the future with ORBIS".
"LINPAC has a well-deserved reputation for outstanding customer service as a leading supplier of returnable packaging used in automotive, food, beverage and general industrial applications". said Arthur W. Huge, president and chief executive officer of Menasha Corporation. "We are very excited about this opportunity and view the combination as firmly establishing ORBIS as a supplier of returnable packaging solutions in North America".
